Uromastyx Ornata has two subspecies:

Uromastyx Ornata  Ornata inhabits the Sinaï and adjacents portions of northwestern Saudia Arabia. In Israel, this species only occurs in the extreme south around Eilat and in Wadi Makfa.

Uromastyx Ornata Philbyi is distributed in the moutain ranges of western Arabia, and from the region of Jabal as Sinfa into southern Hejaz.

 U. ornata is a medium-sized representative of the genus Uromastyx. Maximum total length is around 37 Cm.The male's head is generaly  wider than female's one.

For the moment, three pairs lives home.
