Uromastyx Geyri is endemic to the Air  and Hoggar mountains , the "Adrar des Iforas" in northeast Mali, and southern Algéria, as well as the Tassili N'Ajjer in the vicinity of Amguid.

It is a medium size lizard,  37,6 cm maximum. It is one of the most colored species. There are two colors on males, yellow or orange fluorescent. Something rare in the Uromastix world:  Niger “fouettes-queues” can live in a group and males can also live in harmony with other males.

The two big females and the yellow male come from the pet shop "Envies Animales", in Rennes and the red male was bought from Catherine.

The two big females laid in 2004 et 2005, unfortunatly not in the laying box, and the eggs can't be incubated....

April 2006, a young yellow female, bought from Marc, joined the "yellow team".

Jully 2006, i bought a "yellow" male and a "red" female from Pascal.

1 st April 2007, i bought a "yellow" juvenile in Belgium.

Currently, two pairs, one trio and a juvenile female lives home.

2007 , 4 babies Geyri were born.

June 2008, I  get a new yellow female at Houten.
